"Discover the Stars" – Astronomy class begins July 31, 2008

This is an easy and fun beginner level class designed for anyone who wants to know more about astronomy. Lots pictures and sky viewing!

Thursday classroom sessions at El Dorado Nature Center

Thursday July 31, 7:30 - 9:00pm

Thursday August 7, 7:30 - 9:00pm

Saturday August 9, Star Party – 8:00-10:00 pm (location TBD)

El Dorado Nature Center is located at 7550 East Spring Street in Long Beach, CA. For more information or to enroll in this class, please visit the City of Long Beach web site

How to Enroll
This class is offered through the City of Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation and Marine. The fee is $35 for each participant, payable to the City of Long Beach. Please preregister so that we can plan. If you can’t preregister, you may show-up on the first night of the class and there will be a city employee there to collect the fee. It’s that easy! (Please send me an email if you plan to enroll on the first night.)
